This is a scrap project (hence the name). Use odds and sodds of colours, with one row of black in between. This gives you one side of the scarf that is bright and cheery and one that is more dramatic.

I would stick with sport weight because a worsted one would be too thick.

I’ve had complete strangers stop me on the street to ask where I bought the scarf!
