Created as an art piece for the annual Steampunk Spectacle at my local library, the Steampunk Collar fits perfectly with both the industrial and Victorian themes associated with the extremely popular Steampunk Genre.

The ruffled, close-fitting neckline of the collar increases dramatically in “spokes” which create a flirty ruffled effect at the outer edge. The collar’s bold lines are perfect for hand-painted yarns like Hawthorne.
While the Steampunk Collar is wonderful as a costume piece, its eye-catching style makes it a welcome addition to any knitter’s accessory collection.

Techniques used: Twisted German Cast On, directional increases and decreases, button hole, Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off.
