The “Step in Time” Pillow knitting pattern is quick and easy to knit!

If you are a fan of the movie Mary Poppins you have probably guessed the inspiration for the name of this pattern. One of my favorite scenes is Dick Van Dyke (Bert) dancing with the other chimney sweeps on the roof top to the song “Step in Time”.

I love how this stitch pattern looks on the pillow…evenly spaced steps…step in time.

This pillow is knit with super bulky weight yarn and big needles. You’ll be done with this pillow so fast you’ll want to make more than one!

SKILL LEVEL: Easy

A great pattern for any level of knitter…from confident beginner to advanced.

You will need to know how to cast on stitches, knit and purl confidently, bind off stitches, sew up simple seams and weave in ends.

Pattern includes step-by-step finishing instructions with close-up photos.

This pattern is written in standard U.S. knitting terms.

SUPPLIES: I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease “Thick & Quick” in the color ‘Glacier’ (I love this color!). The pattern will work with many super bulky yarns.

I used a standard (inexpensive!) 16” x 16” pillow form. The finished pillow is slightly larger with the knitted cover.
