A chain of large eyelets along the spine of this shawl both shapes it and creates a spectacular detail on the smooth stockinette ground. The shawl is trimmed with a band of wave stitch that softens the bold design.

Finished Size 150 cm / 55” wide and 68.5 cm / 27” deep.

Yarn Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend (70% merino extrafine wool, 30% silk; 150 yd 137 m/1¾ oz 50 g): #3064 pewter, 4 skeins. Yarn distributed by Fairmount Fibers.
Substitute with approximately 540 m / 590 yds of DK weight yarn that knits to the specified tension.

Needles Sizes 7 (4.5 mm) and 8 (5 mm): 40” circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers (m); tapestry needle.
