No worries about broken bones from the sticks and stones found in this slouchy hat. The stitch pattern combines twisted ribs and yarn overs to make the sticks and stones. The pattern is worked on the brim, then repeated in smaller sections as you work up the hat. Go longer to make it even slouchier!

  • Sample used just a few yards less than the full skein of Eden Silk.
  • The stitch pattern makes a fairly stretchy brim, so it can accommodate a wide range of head sizes. However, stretched to my 23” head, the eyelets tended to disappear.
  • The brim will curl under a little while laying flat since it’s mostly reverse stockinette, but not a problem for wearing.

Pattern stitch is included in written and charted forms. Pattern itself is written.
