Soft, warm, and luxuriously shawl-collared, Stinson Beach is the snuggly cardigan you’ll put on in the fall and not want to take off until spring. Knit in Quince & Co.’s Osprey and Piper yarns held together, the sweater is warm and durable enough for truly cold days, but soft enough to wear next to your skin. Worked from the bottom up in pieces and seamed, Stinson Beach features shoulder seams placed using the English Tailoring method to make for a ready-to-wear look and a significantly easier seaming experience, while details like the optional tubular cast- on ensure a high-end finish. The high-impact cable panels on the back and fronts are made up of a series of 2x2 crosses, making for an engaging but entirely achievable knitting experience.

SIZES
XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL). Finished measurements: approximately 35 (39, 43, 47, 51, 55, 59)” / 89 (99, 109, 119, 130, 140, 150) cm at bust (fastened); designed to be worn with +5-8” / + 13-20 cm ease.

YARN
Quince & Co. Osprey (American wool, 170 yards / 155 meters per 100 grams), 7 (8, 9,
9, 10, 11, 11) skeins and Quince & Co. Piper (50% Texas Merino, 50% Texas Mohair, 305 yards / 278 meters per 50 grams), 4 (5, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7) skeins. Yarns are held double throughout. Sample shown in Fjord (Osprey) and Sweetwater (Piper). Or, 1190 (1360, 1530, 1530, 1700, 1870, 1870) yards / 1092 (1248, 1404, 1404, 1560, 1716, 1716) meters of chunky or Aran weight wool yarn, and 1220 (1525, 1525, 1525, 1830, 1830, 2135) yards / 1119 (1399, 1399, 1399, 1679, 1679, 1959) meters of light fingering / heavy lace weight yarn. While a variety of color combinations will work for this sweater, it seems to show best where the lighter weight yarn is also slightly lighter in color, but the two colors are closely related.
