This shawl was created while I recovered from an injury: a long, slow, sedentary process. Being stuck sitting indoors during the gorgeous summer months drove me stir crazy! I needed a project that was simple enough to watch movies while knitting, but interesting enough to keep me going. This shawl features loads of satisfying texture and periodic, orderly changes. Directional mesh lace alternates with two-color brioche in a fun rainbow of colors.

Yarn needed:

2 skein Bumblebirch Wellspring (490yds/100g) in the color way Shadow

8 skeins Bumblebirch Wellspring Catkins (61yds/12g) in various colors, shown here in the Summer Bundle (Agave, Atlantic, Blackberry, Dahlia, Dandelion, Mint, Poppy, and Ranunculus)

For a lesson on two-color brioche (including brp, brk, and sl1yo),
I highly recommend the video tutorials by The Unapologetic
Knitter, which can be found here:

Errata: Section 2 should read, “Repeat rows 1-2 13 more times for a total of 28 rows of 2-color brioche.”
