This colorful asymmetrical shawl has loads of texture due to the various stitches used throughout the shawl. It even features a center horizontal stripe with opposing stitches on either side of the shawl’s spine thus adding even more visual interest.

This shawl, due to its unique shape, can be worn a variety of ways and will drape its wearer beautifully.

You will need approximately 400 yards of yarn to make this shawl with. It’s great because you can use stash yarn to make the stripes and you really only need one full skein (or about 215 yards) for the main color of the shawl. Of course you can also have all the stripes be different colors if you wish too.

I used Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece yarn in the following colors to make the shawl in the photos with: Terracotta Canyon, Putty, Slate Charcoal and Nymph.
