This simple cowl is part of a series of designs that feature stitch patterns from more complex Provenance Knits designs. The stitch pattern is featured in the Bouquet Scarf design

With minimal borders and no shaping, you simply cast on and enjoy a “taste” of the stitch design. The cowl uses a floral stitch pattern from the Japanese book Knitting Patterns 300 Lace.

The simple lace flower petals and leaves motif are separated by horizontal borders of garter stitch lines. Columns of purl in between the motifs create a floral rib.

This floral stitch pattern is featured in both the Bouquet Scarf and Bouquet Cowl designs, by Provenance Knits.

Sample on left shown in Shelridge Yarns Soft Touch DKW, Spring Green, and displayed in three different ways to wear it.

Pattern was professionally tech edited by Robin Melanson.

NOTE: Provenance Knit patterns use charts.
