There is a loveliness and a delight in this shawl that is hard to match. The flow of the wavy lace pattern is languid and soothing, simply delicious. And then comes the delight of the “dangling pebbles” along the edge - they are charming beyond any expectation, bouncing along, evoking an image of flowing waters and smooth stones, each with their own place in the world. This shawl is so charming that you’ll look for excuses to wear it, and love every minute you spend knitting it (which is much easier than it looks, being done in garter stitch lace with simple repeats).

5 50g skeins Nature’s Palette Plant-Dyed Merino yarn in Main Color approx. 925 yds., 100% Merino wool, washable.

Stones in the River Shawl, finished size approximately 7s“ at the top edge and 34 “ in length at the center point of the triangle.
