Most often, my knitting designs are inspired by the yarn itself and by games of word association based on the first idea that comes to my mind. When I discovered the awesome colorway called Storm at a lovely LYS, I immediately fell in love with it. Pictures of moody skies popped up in my mind, and triggered by the colors, shortly followed by swirls of mint chocolate-chip ice cream, one of my favorite flavors. Awe-inspiring, sweet, warm, soft.
The Storm Sorbet cowl is a play of lace stitches changing direction like wind gusts (or swirls of ice cream :-). The cowl has patterning on all rounds and the stitch patterns are easy to remember. The Storm Sorbet cowl is a good opportunity to dip your toe into knitted lace!
