This pattern has been independently reviewed be a qualified technical editor. The Stormland pattern includes written instructions and a clear, professional design layout. The pattern also includes a diagram to clearly show how the poncho should be folded, seamed, and finished. Measurements are provided in both English and metric units. The pattern includes sizing for small through extra large.

Stormland offers easy-folded poncho construction. It is essentially a seamed rectangle with a wee bit of I-cord finishing (instructions provided). The pattern also provides instructions for how to create the twisted (or flipped) stitches to add texture and dimension to this primarily stockinette knit.

Stormland is knit in relatively affordable Malabrigo Worsted yarn, although substituting with any worsted weight yarn wold likely work quite well. The twist stich stitch to adds depth and dimensionality to this poncho without being too fussy, difficult, or busy. I love that the stitch has texture without being too ornate. It’s subtle, but not just stockinette. This results in a piece that is very wearable but not severely boring.
