My Linen Stories …
It was not just an e-book, it was small stories filled with warmth, sincerity, summer, the sounds of sea waves, the romance of sun, lavender scents, stories of peaceful happy life.
I remember I started knitting this model and decided that when I finish it the war will end. That’s how I knitted it. I knitted and reknitted, drew diagrams and redrawn, with hope, with different thoughts in each row - with anxiety, fear, pain, and, most importantly, with faith. By faith in victory, in the world, in humanity, in courage and resistance…
I’ve knitted the model, but the war is not over, the sirens turn on day and night, and only hope helps to hold on …
Therefore, it seems to me quite logical to end the “Linen Stories” with the Story of Hope.

Ukraine. Kyiv. Khreshchatyk. June 2022.

Story of Hope.
Everyone will tell this story in their own way. With their hope. With their feelings. With their mood.

I love absolutely everything in this model! This smooth transition of the lace pattern into delicate side inserts, and the mathematical magic of calculations, the ability to choose their design features and these soft folds on the back, A-shaped silhouette, indentations and all the highlights that are hidden in it. And, of course, my traditional sizes from a baby for 12 months to adults 62”.

“Story of Hope” top is worked from the bottom up in one piece in the round. The lace pattern of the bottom border smoothly flows into the lace side inserts. At armhole level, work is divided into Front and Back, which are finished separately, shoulder seams are joined using the three-needle bind-off method.
