Stossel is a unisex cabled beanie constructed from the top down. It uses extended single crochet stitches between a traditional 2x2 cable and is finished with a post stitch ribbed brim. The hat progresses in a spiral and is not joined between rounds. To keep track of rounds, place a removable stitch marker in the last stitch of the round. The beanie is crocheted for 6 in / 15 cm before starting the 2 in / 5 cm brim. To make a slouchy hat, crochet for 8.5 in / 22 cm before starting the brim. The brim can be lengthened or shortened depending on your style preference.
