Have you ever looked at a map of Italy? While there are some major thoroughfares, mostly you will see roads that wind and curve between each city and town, what we in America might call the “backroads.” Although the lines of Strade are straight, the small floral embellishment and ladders in the texture lend themselves to the whimsy of the Italian “backroads.”
