This fair isle yoke pullover was designed for the #10131 Country Classic 4Ply brochure for Sirdar. The colourwork garment is knit in the round beginning with the sleeve cuffs and features short rows for the back of the neck before the striped ribbing border. The armholes are closed by grafting a few stitches on each side. Note: The colourwork pattern is provided in chart form only.


TENSION and NEEDLES

  • 28 sts and 36 rows to 10cm, (4in) over stocking stitch AND

  • 32 sts and 32 rows to 10cm, (4in) over fair isle pattern on 3.25mm needles or the size required to give correct tension.
    Check your tension - if less stitches use a thinner needle, if more use a thicker needle.

  • (1) 3¼mm (UK10 - USA3) 80cm Circular Needle AND

  • (1) 3¼mm (UK10 - USA3) 40cm Circular Needle.

  • (1) 2¾mm (UK12 - USA2) 80cm Circular Needle AND

  • (1) 2¾mm (UK12 - USA2) 40cm Circular Needle.

  • (1) set of 3¼mm (UK10 - USA3) Double Pointed Needles AND

  • (1) set of 2¾mm (UK12 - USA2) Double Pointed Needles if required for sleeves.
