This design uses simple variations of garter and stockinette stitch to create a modern, wearable shawl. Straightforward knit-or-purl through the back loop increases occur on the same end of the shawl, creating a beautiful, asymmetrical shape. The slipped stitches at the end of each row create a clean selvedge edge. Using raw silk or linen yarn, the texture and drape is sinuous and elegant.
