This sweater was designed especially for Sofie Grabol who plays detective Sarah Lund in the Danish crime series The Killing (Forbrydelsen). It was featured in The Killing Handbook (Forbrydelsen forever) by Emma Kennedy.

The length seems to be a concern for several people, so I just wanted to address that here. The model in my pictures is quite petite, and the prototype was a size M, so that should give you an idea of how it looks full length. It is designed to arrive at hip level.

If you want to shorten it, measure the length you want from your underarm to where you want the hem. Subtract that from the total length given in the pattern. This gives you the excess you need to remove to adjust the pattern. The body is a straight tube, so just subtract the calculated excess from the lengths of the plain red middle section.
