This tiny backpack is perfect for quick adventures to the berry patch, or wherever the season takes you. It’s quick to work up, and seeing the rows of berries appear is a delight! I hope you enjoy making it as much as I enjoyed designing it.

Yarns:
About 400 total yards of worsted weight yarn in a background color (I used pink, 270 yds), red (50 yds), and green (80 yds)

Tools:
Size G/ 4.25 mm Hook
Scissors
Long needle for sewing in ends
1 small button

Stitches Used:
HDC: Half Double Crochet
Slst: Slip Stitch
Ch: Chain stitch
Inc: Increase (make two stitches in the same stitch)
Dc: Double Crochet
4 DC Dec: 4 Double Crochet Decrease (Special photo instructions in the pattern)

Other Terms:
Rnd: Round
Magic Ring: A method of starting working a crochet project in the round

A note about yarns:
I used three colors of cotton worsted weight yarn to crochet my sample for this pattern, for a total approximate yardage of 400 yds. If you want to do stripes in the background color, you absolutely can! Just make sure the colors are different from your berry colors, so the strawberry motif shows through.
