With Its traditional deep ribbed band and soft shaping, the Strawberry Biscuit is a beautifully warm and flattering winter hat. Just as cool for the man in your life, although he may prefer a different colour…

Materials:
100g skein of Aran/ Worsted Yarn (Approx 80g used), 50g of DK/light worsted yarn. Pictured example made with Aran with Wool yarn by Marriners in Rose Blush shade (A) and Marriners DK yarn in Beige (B).
4.50mm Crochet Hook.
Large eyed tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

Finished Size/Gauge:
Finished size goes from 21 inches/53 cms unstretched to 24 inches/61 cms stretched, approximately, and will fit the majority of teenager and adult heads.
Gauge is not critical because of the ‘stretch factor’ if you would like a particularly large diameter hat then go up a hook size or two, bearing in mind that more yarn will be required. The length is easily adjusted by repeating round 29.

Method:
The Strawberry Biscuit Hat is made from the top down starting with a magic loop and worked in the round, in one piece, to eliminate seaming.
