This is a fairly large market bag - I like to actually carry groceries in mine! I think one of the features I’m most happy with is the strap, I’ve woven ribbon through knitted eyelets, creating a wide-but-not-too-stretchy strap. (Bonus: it reminds me of weaving ribbons through those little green baskets you can buy strawberries in!) It’s knit in a fingering weight cotton, which I love because it’s soft, yet strong. Linen or hemp could easily be substituted.

It’s knit on several needle sizes to produce different levels of stretchiness on different parts of the bag - but gauge is not super critical, so use needles you have that are close in size!
