Ah, streptococcus, the superstar of the bacterial world.

Not content with causing sore throats, members of this group are responsible for certain ‘flesh eating’ bacterial infections. Delightful!

Maybe you should wash your hands after playing with one of these little critters?

The ButterflyLove pdf Streptococcus Chain knitting pattern gives you clear step by step instructions to make your own diseased cutie, which will measure approximately 5.5 inches long.

This pattern only involves knitting flat and is suitable for a beginner/intermediate knitter. You can also contact me at any point if you need technical advice or have any other queries.

What you will need:

2 knitting needles (US2/2.75mm or as per tension advice)
10g yarn per chain
Polyfil stuffing
2 plastic toy safety eyes (6mm)
1 tapestry needle for finishing

Casting on and off
Increasing
Decreasing

Stitches used:

Stocking stitch
