We’ve become toe-up sock fans recently. It’s a nice way to knit, fitting them on as you go and there’s an additional bonus of being able to use up all your yarn as you knit merrily around on the cuff. We used two contrasting colours of yarn for these “sporty” socks and ended the cuff just above the ankle (short and sweet and quick to knit).

Originally, we used HiKoo CoBaSi in two colours and called them “stretchy” because of the elastic content in this yarn. But recently, we knit them up in River City Yarns’ Hat Trick (photo colourway: Toronto) and Louet Gems Superfine in White. Both of these yarns, Hat Trick and Gems Superfine are available online at shop.rivercityyarns.com.
