This is a two part project. You will crochet the rattle cover, and construct the rattle underneath.

The rattle is based on “old school” rattles that they just don’t sell anymore. (I looked for one to crochet over and I couldn’t find one.) Carefully constructed, and completely covered in crochet this is a fun and safe toy.

In addition to the crochet pattern you will also receive a photo tutorial for assembling your rattle. This is a great stash buster project. You will need a couple of days to complete your rattle to allow the glue to fully dry.

The pattern includes round-by-round and row-by-row instructions, a complete supply list, a few stitch diagrams, and pattern notes to help you complete your project. The crochet and photo tutorial instructions are broken down into sections which makes it clear and easy what needs to be done to complete your rattle. The photo tutorial has written instructions, full color photos for each section, and full color photos for each section. Each section of the photo tutorial also has a shortened supply list so you know what you need just for that section.

I found all my supplies for construction and crocheting locally and tried to choose products that wouldn’t require a lot of work to track down. I also have tips for where to locate items in the pattern.
