I knit this hat in order that I could show some team spirit for the game I was going to more-or-less 5 hours after I designed the hat. As such, I completed most of the knitting in car on the way to the game.
I wanted to share the pattern in case anyone wanted one of their own!
It would be good for a last-minute gift, as it knits up very quickly. You don’t have to block it to make it look nice, though I would always block it if it’s natural fiber.

I included a pattern for the hat that I did knit (hat 1) and the hat that I would have knit if I had more time (hat 2). Hat 2 has a generous roll-over cuff.

You will use 3 colors of yarn (or more, it’s up to you!). For Hat 1, I used approximately 62 yards of white, 36 Yards of “Sunflower”, and 55 yards of Black. Hat 2 would use at least double the white and similar amounts of the colors. You will also need a tapestry needle to weave in all the ends.

My head is fairly large, but the cuff is very stretchy so probably not a lot of modifications would be needed to make it smaller, if any.

I included some URLs for techniques in the pattern, so this should be beginner-friendly (Not absolute beginner, mind you, but for someone who can knit, purl, cast-on, join in the round, increase, decrease).
