This long novelty scarf is soooo cool. Because it is knit in all stockinette stitch, it rolls up lengthwise like a thick wooly snake. The I-cord fringes are knitted separately, then slipped on the needle when casting on the scarf body to form the cast on. Then they are knitted into the first row. It is made in 2 parts then grafted together.
