These bags are made up of squares that are knitted in the round. There are no seams to sew. The squares are joined by picking up stitches from those around them.
There are two versions; one has knitted cord handles, the other has an extra square on the front and back which wraps over a ready-made handle.

The bag can be worked in any DK-weight (US: lightweight)yarn. It can be worked in regular two colour stripes or in random stripes using a multi-coloured yarn.
I worked the regular striped grey bag in two shades of grey DK tweed wool. It has knitted cord handles.
I worked the random striped brown bag in a magic ball yarn made up of DK-weight cottons and wools in natural, stone and wood shades. There are instructions on how to knit a cover for the handles (optional).
