Lion Brand Notes:

Afghan is worked in one piece in a Traveling Cable pattern with ribbing at each end.

The Traveling Cable pattern can be worked by following the written instructions or by following the chart. If working from the chart, read RS rows of chart from right to left and WS rows from left to right.

The Traveling Cable pattern works columns of eyelets (made with yarn overs) between the cables. Sts are picked up along both sides of each eyelet column for faux cables.

Making the eyelets with yarn overs will increase the st count on that specific row, but the st count will be reduced on the following row by working k2tog’s or p2tog’s

Faux cables are created by working in St st (k on RS, K on RS) over picked up sts to make St st bands, then wrapping these bands at spaced intervals.

A kit that includes yarn and pattern is also available on the Lion Brand site: Article # L32046K
