Sugar Mountain is a small shawl, from the Alt Shawls collection. “Unique shapes inspired by music.”

A rounded top-down triangular shawl with no centre spine and two panels of a textured lace that flow uninterrupted into a scalloped edging. Stockinette stitch panels feature hand-dyed yarns to their fullest. A perfect project for two skeins of a special DK-weight, such as Springtree Road’s lovely Coquina DK, or one skein of fingering- or sport-weight yarn, such as Springtree Road’s Muscadine Sock.

Instructions include charts and written directions, so you can knit from whichever you prefer. Instructions are also included to make a much larger shawl. Exact gauge is not critical for success of this project. You may wish to knit at a looser or tighter gauge, depending on yarn choice. Note that yardage and size of finished project may vary with gauge differences.

Springtree Road yarns is offering to dye the lovely yarns I used to order in “Frosted” or another existing colour of your choice if you would like to knit Sugar Mountain in the yarn specified. More info here!
