Designed so it can be pulled down over the ears on those freezing cold days!

The hat band is knitted lengthways and then joined end to end with Kitchener stitch for an invisible seam.
Stitches are picked up around one edge of the band for the hat body, which is then knitted in the round.
The Sugar Stick Rib pattern is based on a very simple 1 row repeat, using 2 colours.
Great for using up those odds ‘n’ ends of yarn.

Approximate yarn useage on 5mm / US 8 needles
Yarn A - 80 yds / 73m Orange
Yarn B - 65 yds / 60m Golderod
Yarn C - 55 yds / 50m Beige

Stitch guage is not too critical as it’s an elastic pattern - just ensure you keep the stitch floats loose.
Will fit up to a 57cm / size 7 head.

I hope you enjoy knittiing it and I look forward to seeing the various colour combinations!
