Cinnamon, cloves, and cranberries, oh my! Make up a batch of Sugarplum Spice candy and pour yourself a cup of tea to enjoy while working on this spice-inspired shawl which features oodles of easy-knitting garter stripes accented with yarn-over rows and fun bobbles!

Beginning with a Garter Tab Cast On, shawl is knit in simple, squishy garter stitch that grows downward and outward from the top center utilizing strategically placed increases. Accented by a bobbled column extending from the top down, the shawl grows stripe by stripe before transitioning to yarn-over rows. Carry yarn where possible when switching between colors to avoid too many ends to weave in! Steam blocking is recommended, but feel free to wet block for a larger shawl.

Pattern uses five different colors; my sample was knit using Summit Sportweight by Sweet Mountain Crafts: Color 1 (370 yds) and colors 2-5 (185 yds each).

Used for my sample: (1) Cinnamon (brown), (2) Orange Slice (orange), (3) Almond (taupe), (4) Black Berry (magenta), (5) Mulled Wine (purple).

I can’t wait to see what color combinations you choose!
