One of my favourite colour combinations is pink and green. This shawl was inspired by the yarn colours which reminded me of my favourite walks in the flora of the Cape called fynbos. In the summer the Erica bushes burst into flower and leave the bush speckled with swathes of pink in between the green. The green Madeira lace on the edge of the shawl reminded me of bunting and so Summer Festival was born. Summer Festival is a large shawl and take most of two full 100g balls of yarn. It is worked top down in a triangle shape.
