I have called this pattern Summer Shrug as it is light, cool and very easy to wear.

My aim with this design was to make a shrug the felt like a shawl (so very lightly structure) but unlike a shawl stayed on without have to hold on to it. Just knitted in three pieces, and sleeves gently gathered at the end, gives this shrug a very drapey effect, that is soft and relaxed.

This pattern uses 3 to 4 balls (depending on size) of of RYC Cashcotton (50g) 4ply. Colour 0915 - Rose. You can substitute for either cotton or wool 4ply as the yarn I used is a mix of cotton and cashmere.
