I would not have a beginner make it……….. Even though it was just single crochet the decreases can be a bit hard for a new crocheter. It was fun to make though I won’t lie………. It turned out great for a purse in the end…..The pattern did not call for the pocket, But I added it any ways…. Your choice if you want to add a pocket in or out of the purse or even at all…….. You will need three total balls of yarn each different yards and colors…….. The pattern calls for 1 skeins of 108yd Cotton Classic by Tahki/Stacy Charles 100% Cotton……The 2end ball of yarn calls for 2 skeins of Medium weight cotton/rayon yarn 108yd…….The 3rd yarn they call for is 1 skein of Cotton Twist by Berroco 85yd…. This is not exactly the yarn I used butthe same yardage as the pattern called for…………..
