Imagine the feeling of something as soft as silk but easy to care for that you can wrap up in for a quick run to the beach bar over your bikini or as a wrap to add just a bit of flair to your favorite dock side look when the cool breezes blow in off the water. The simple repeats throughout this pattern make it the perfect crochet project to take along on your beach vacation and wear a few days later. Or even better, make memories from the moment you pick up a kit on the way to your favorite beach chair and start your vacation off right with a fresh skein of yarn and your trusty H hook.

Crocheted from the top down this pattern incorporates subtle shaping on each row to enhance the flow of the finished shawl in this exceptionally soft and easy to care for yarn.

If you prefer not to use the bright white of the Baby gradient kit, use the 4 Shades instead, it’s the same yarn just four tonals not three plus white.

If you use the Darn Good Yarn Silk, add one more chain at the begging of each row.

For a cost effective alternative, use four skeins of Darn Good Yarn Cotton Viscose blend.
