My design ideas and advice: This jacket is inspired by traditional matinee jackets and I have used my favourite cable pattern. I love how the only two stitches you need to make a pattern are knit and purl and that they can be used in different positions to create beautiful effects. So simple yet so stunning. I love the garter stitch mixed with the plain stocking stitch in the rib and then with the cable, to me it looks like the ridges of the garter stitch are joining the cables together. I hope you love knitting it too.
