This is wonderful summer hat that is perfect for the warmer weather and will accommodate a messy bun or ponytail!

This pattern begins at the band and is knit flat. The hat is then joined in the round using 16” cable needles or DPNs to complete the crown of the hat.

Stitches are then picked up and knit to form the Visor, and an I-Cord is added to the finished hat to give a finished edge and to create ties at the back.

I have used a fabric stiffener product applied to the Visor to give the finished hat some added stiffness.

Dress this hat up with the option of adding beads to the band or keep it simple without beads.

This pattern has been test knitted and will be an easy knit for those with intermediate knitting skills.

Happy Knitting!
