Before this project, I hadn’t held a hairpin loom in my hands. This scarf was a big experiment that turned out to be a complete success. So if you are courageous, diligent, and want to try something new – this design is for you. It will require minimal crochet skills, a bit of persistence in mastering hairpin lace and two-three free evenings in front of the tv.

The pattern includes two tutorials with lots of pictures to help you get acquainted with the new technique, charts and written description of the working process. It is great for the beginners.

It is a variable pattern. You can choose different types of yarn and get different results. I don’t recommend using pure silk or viscose yarns as they may not keep the shape of hairpin lace and require some additional skills. Please note that using different yarn will most probably affect total quantity of yarn needed and the dimensions of the scarf. Use the hook that corresponds to the chosen yarn.
