In an unusual twist on garment design, Norah Gaughan worked circular medallions for the front and back of this cotton pullover. The medallions are knitted from the center outward, then joined with side gussets that are knitted downward from the armholes in short rows to join the front and back. The lower body is knitted in the round to the desired length. The sleeves are knitted in the usual manner, from the cuffs up.
