The body is worked in the round to the start of the front placket, then changes to working back and forth in rows beginning and ending at the center front opening. At the armholes, the body is further divided into the fronts and back, which are worked separately in rows to the shoulders. The sleeves are worked back and forth in rows.

During shaping, if there are not enough stitches to work a decrease with its companion yarnover, or a double decrease with both its yarnovers, work the remaining stitch(es) in stockinette instead.

When working the Antique Diamond chart in the round, read all chart rows from right to left as RS rounds. When working back and forth in rows, read the odd-numbered chart rows from right to left as RS rows and read the even-numbered chart rows from left to right as WS rows.
