Even though this little project is quick and easy to make, I incorporated a couple of fun-to-make stitches into the design. The center is worked in dc cluster stitches, and the petals are formed by working a slanted shell stitch, which is one of my favorite techniques for giving an item a scalloped edge. Be sure to use 100% cotton yarn, as it is always best for items that will be used in water.
