This hat was inspired by my leftover yarn bin. I had this gorgeous shade of Malabrigo Rios left over and I loved the way it worked with the gray. Sadly I only had a bit of the gray superwash left. So a colourwork pattern was the answer.

The autumnal orange made the sunflower pattern almost a given. I love the way this oversize flower dominates one side of the hat, while the little seeds flurry over the rest of it.
If you make this hat in blues and whites it looks like a giant snowflake landed on your hat.
