Fingerless mitts designed for battle. Dress like the fierce defenders of castle Sungetche! Or just enjoy the interesting look of these mitts on a peaceful walk.

The textured cuff and elongated stitches add detail to the chainmail-resembling reverse stockinette part, which is worked with the fabric inside out, to spare you all the purling.

This pattern is perfectly suited for those handpainted, varigated sock yarns where the coloures are rather blended together than seperated in long sequences. (Like in my example.)

Skills required
• knitting and purling
• increasing and decreasing
• working in the round
• slipping stitches
• picking up stitches
