This top-down shawl uses just one skein of fingering weight yarn. A simple mesh pattern opens up wonderfully, creating an airy and open fabric. A crochet bind off with (optional) scallops gives it a feminine touch and a romantic feel. The size of the shawl is very simple to cusomize, if you decide to knit it smaller or larger. All in all, it is a good pattern for a lace beginner, as the mesh pattern is easy to follow and memorize. The pattern has both charted and written instructions.
