This hat was created for those bright sunny days of summer. Wire supports the outer edge of the brim, the lace design helps keep you cool and the cotton yarn makes it washable. The hat also twists and folds to take up very little room in your travel bag.

The project is worked from the outer edge of the brim inward and up the hat to the top. The wire is then added to the outer edge. Ribbon can be added to the inside for stability and/or trim added to the outside for additional design interest.

While cotton yarn is recommended the hat also looks wonderful in linen and hemp fibers.
