Knitting socks on two straight needles is not a new technique or a knitting fad. It has actually been around for a while and is long overdue for a revival.

This particular yarn is very forgiving and with it knitted on size 5 needles, makes for very roomy socks.

My feet are wide and swell a lot, so that was the reasoning behind knitting the socks this way. For a snugger fit, drop down one needle size.
