As a child of the 80’s, I will always have a fondness for shoulder pads, slouchy socks and bright colors. And since socks are my comfort knitting, and in all possible cases I like to design socks that are rhythmic and don’t require too much thought, I designed these simple, geometric socks as an ode to the latest Wonder Woman film, 1984.

FINISHED SIZES
1 (2, 3, 4): 7 (8, 9, 10)” / 18 (20.5, 23, 25.5) cm circumference (unstretched).
Recommended Fit: 1” / 2.5 cm negative ease in circumference, measured at widest part of the foot (while standing) and 15% negative ease in length when measured from the tip of the longest toe to the back of the heel.

Heidi & Lana Seed Fingering (fingering/sock weight; 90% superwash merino, 10% nylon; 420 yds/384 m per 100g hank), 1 hank ‘Persimmon’

32 sts and 46 rnds = 4” / 10 cm over stockinette st worked in the round, taken after blocking.

PATTERN NOTES
These socks are worked from the toe-up using the Magic Loop method, beginning with Judy’s Magic Cast On technique. These socks also feature a Fleegle Heel and are bound offusing Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off.

These socks are mirrors to one another; be sure to follow instructions for the left and right socks.

Instructions are provided for size 1 with additional sizes in parentheses. When only one set of instructions is provided it applies to all sizes.

Both written and charted instructions are provided for the textural / patterned portions of the socks. Work all charts starting on Row 1, reading from right to left as for working in the round.
