Sunshine!
Hi there! Who doesn’t need an extra bit of cheer in their life?! With this simple and fun pattern you can add a bit of joy and be guaranteed some sunshine too!. Sunshine is made using the crochet style of amigurumi and is perfect for all levels, from beginner to expert.
Why not crochet this piece and use as a hanging ornament, or a really big key chain, or just to place in a special spot to brighten up a room! (If you are crocheting this piece for someone under the age of three or for a pet, embroidering or crocheting the eyes is recommended.)
Here’s what you will need to have a little bit of sunshine in your life:
- 2 colours of double knit yarn. I used 100% acrylic.
- A 3.5mm (E) crochet hook.
- Polyester fiberfill stuffing.
- 2 black safety eyes, 15mm.
- Yarn Needle.
- Stitch marker
- Some black yarn scraps.
And here are the stitches you will use:
- chain stitch
- slip stitch
- increasing and decreasing
- double / single crochet
- magic ring
If using the specified yarn, your finished Sunshine will be approx. 7inch by 7inch from ray tip to ray tip (incl. 3inch dia. body) when finished, but feel free to experiment and use whatever hook and yarn you choose (note that the finished piece will vary accordingly!)
The pdf provides a full written pattern, complete with finished piece photos. Should you need any clarifications please feel free to email me at any time :) (moonofarann@gmail.com)
So why not add a bit of Árann magic to your crochet life and welcome your very own ray of sunshine into your home :)
