I made this blanket as a travel blanket for my pre-schooler as he had outgrown his smaller baby blanket. It is the right size for a lap blanket, to cover a pre-schooler or as a cot blanket for a smaller baby. It is approximately 27x33”.

I made it in acrylic as it is the easiest to care for when the blanket is for a small child. My son chose the bright and sunny yellow yarn and the cables and lace were selected to go with the sunny nature of it (as is its name).

It can be made with natural fibres if you prefer, but it would need blocking at the end and may well end up a little larger depending on how hard you block it.
