I wanted to come up with a simple pattern that would highlight the texture and color of the yarn without getting too busy. It is bulky to super-bulky, so it knits up quite quickly.

Farmhouse Yarns no longer makes Woodlan Spun, but you can find it at CT Yarn & Wool in Haddam (www.yarnandwool.com) in a variety of colors. Alternatively, any yarn will do to fit the gauge, of course.

I choose three different colors for my vest, which required five skeins, but a vest with only one color would likely only need four skeins for the medium. The other sizes will need five.

When I picked up stitches for the neck band and arm holes, I started immediately with a K1P1 rib, which made the transition look ratty. So, the instructions call for the first row to be all knit. I hope your neck band looks better than mine.

I have only knit the medium size for myself, so if there are any errata for the other sizes, please let me know, and I will fix the pattern.

Happy Knitting!

The shaping of the neckband is slanted in the wrong direction. It should read:

RS First half: Knit in pattern as set for 17 (19,21) sts, k2tog, k1.
Second half: Attach new ball of yarn and use a second set of needles. K1, ssk, work to end in pattern as set.
